Excellent News for TPS Beneficiaries of El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nepal, Nicaragua, and Sudan!

On September 8th, 2021, DHS announced an automatic continuation of TPS designations for El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nepal, Nicaragua, and Sudan.

  • The Temporary Status Protection coverage as such continues indefinitely for beneficiaries of these 6 countries.
  • The continuity removes the current EAD expiration date of October 4, 2021, and extends it to December 31, 2022.
  • Those covered under TPS from all the above-mentioned countries except for Haiti, do not require to reapply for TPS or for renewal of the EAD.
  • Those Haitians who qualify for TPS (initial or renewal), must apply for Haiti TPS before the end of the newly designated registration period set for February 3, 2023.
